organisms books
Every MAC 3 Oak student was able to choose the organism they wanted to research. Originally the list included 35 different organisms found at the Urban Ecology Center, Riverside Park campus. Partnerships were formed based on their individual choices. Research and writing was done individually while incorporating a lot of collaboration and feedback.
Putting the books together was where all of their efforts came together. They had criteria they needed to meet and together they created their final product.
We hope you enjoy their efforts! Through this process, they have become experts on reproductive potential, structural and behavioral adaptations, feeding relationships, human impacts and abiotic and biotic limits.
We are still working on finding a day and time our students can share these books in person with you at the UEC. We'll let you know when we know something definitive.
